Becoming an adult does not have to mean losing out on Halloween fun. Unfortunately, a lot of go-to ways of celebrating the holiday is not always going to cut it. Going to the movies can get pricey,
and cleaning up after throwing a party is a hassle. Thankfully, there was a way to have a fun, free, and low-committal time that does not involve going from house to house. Southcentre Mall is offering a trick-or-treating experience for everyone. Costumes are optional but encouraged!
No tricks, all treats
Located at 100 Anderson Road SE, and from 1pm to 3pm, retailers at Southcentre Mall featuring a “CANDY HERE” sign will be handing out candy to mall goers. Not to be confused with retailers with a “CANDY NOT HERE” sign, meaning that no candy will be handed out.

Special Stations
There are an assortment of special stations scattered throughout the mall, each hosted by two costumed characters. Take a picture with princesses, superheroes, and other iconic characters Special stations are located at Sporting Life Court and outside Ardene on the lower level, and outside Decathlon, outside Specsavers, and between H&M and Crate & Barrel on the upper level.
Something for everyone
With no pressure to set up or buy tickets, spending Halloween at Southcentre mall is a great choice for any student wanting to enjoy the holiday with friends and family. At the end of the day, you are still at a mall, so if the Halloween spirit becomes too haunting, and you are suddenly okay with spending a little more than you should, you will still be in the right place for a little retail therapy.
