Students can meet dozens of Mount Royal University clubs at the 2026 Fall Clubs Expo today! The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on MRU Main Street, with a second day on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The expo brings together official Students’ Association of Mount Royal University (SAMRU) clubs. Students can stop by, ask questions, and find a group that fits their interests.
Clubs for every interest
The range is wide. Academic groups such as the Student Nursing Society, the Pre-Dental Club, and the Mount Royal Investment Club sit alongside the MRU Drama Club, Jazz Club, and Art Club.
Outdoor fans can look to the MRU Ski and Snowboard Club, the MRU Hike Club, and the MRU Birding Club. Cultural options include Le Club Français and the Vietnamese Student Affiliation, while gaming, yoga, and book clubs round out the mix.
Finding the right club
Students who want to browse before or after the expo can use the Find a Club directory on the SAMRU Club Hub. Each club has its own page.
Joining a group also gives students a way to meet people outside their own programs. That can help first-year students still finding their footing on campus.
How to start a club
Students with an idea for a new group can apply through the SAMRU Club Hub. The acceptance process requires signing authority documents, a consultation, a club logo, and an annual report, followed by an online acceptance form.
Once a club is approved, it can submit an activity approval form so its events are covered by insurance. SAMRU can then help with logistics, catering, and on-campus bookings. The Club Hub also lists funding, marketing support, and storage and equipment rentals.
