University isn’t all parties and cramming. Mount Royal’s Open House is a chance to get an understanding of what your future could look like at MRU. Open House takes place on campus, Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and provides information about the campus, programs, and career paths that are available to you.
Why you should go
Open House is a good chance to familiarize yourself with MRU’s programs, and find the one that best suits you. Returning students are there to give you an idea of what you’ll experience in upcoming years, and help you get a leg-up in your education. Explore your future career pathways, and how each unique program can help you get there. Students who register and attend have a chance to win $5,000 towards their tuition by filling out a tuition draw form and creating a MRU Future Student Portal profile by Oct. 19, so long as they apply to MRU for a 2027 Winter or Fall semester.
What to expect
Attend free drop-in booths or live information panels where you can ask advisors, faculty members, and alumni questions about what to expect in your upcoming journey. Open House includes a guided tour where you can take a look at the various spaces you’ll frequent around Mount Royal, and get a closer look at the available residency on campus. Parking is free for those attending Open House.
Future Broadcasting Students
For our future broadcasters, there is a booth on Main Street where you can get information about the Broadcast Media Studies degree, as well as a guided tour of the program’s wing. You can also ask students that are currently in the program about their personal experiences, and get a better idea of what awaits you as a future media content creator student.
