You may have heard that MRU has university sports teams for hockey and basketball but they have soccer teams too! MRU’s soccer teams play an electric brand of soccer that creates an atmosphere that is unmatched at home and free for MRU students and employees. If you like drums, specialized chants and high paced action, MRU soccer is the thing to watch on campus. Each home game for either the men’s and women’s soccer teams is played on weekends with the occasional Friday night game. To be in the know about when the Cougars men’s and Cougars women’s teams play refer to the schedule.
How MRU students and employees can obtain their free regular season ticket
If you attend MRU as a student or work as an employee you can be a part of the regular season action for free! You can obtain your free ticket by putting in your ID number in the discount code section at checkout beginning with the letter S for students and the letter E for employees. Getting free tickets can be tricky so the Cougars have created a video to help.
Playoff ticket information
During the playoffs, tickets are a little different. MRU students can still obtain their free tickets but employees have to pay for a ticket.
What to know before and during the game
Now that you have a ticket, there are a couple of things you should know before the game which I put into an easy to follow checklist.
Gameday checklist:
- Bring your physical ticket
- Know the kickoff time
- Know the travel time
- Know the Spectator Code of Conduct
- Wear gameday apparel. This step is not mandatory, but encouraged
