Calgary’s Humane Society begins its Home for the Holidays campaign at the Pet Fair and Market event on December 2nd. The event will have 15 local businesses attending and plenty of furry friends for you to meet and possibly give a new home! The Home for the Holidays campaign is meant to bring attention to these amazing animals and spread awareness about opportunities to donate, foster, or adopt. The Pet Fair and Market will be held at 4455 110 Avenue Southeast Calgary on December 2nd.

Home for the Holidays encourages adoption and supporting animals this season

The campaign focuses on trying to rehome as many of these amazing animals as possible for the holiday season. Adopting an animal anytime between December 2nd through the 31st will come with a 50% reduction on adoption fees. It also includes a package with pet insurance, food, and access to future medical care for your new furry friend. All these extra benefits make opening your home to a new member of the family as streamlined as ever.

If adoption isn’t something you can do, the Humane Society accepts donations and facilitates the fostering of these animals until they find their forever home. Donations go a long way as they help fund food, medical care, and staff to take care of all the animals. Fostering can be a way for you to work with an animal and help it get accustomed to living in a home setting. Anything you do to help will improve the life of at least one amazing animal that needs a new loving home by providing shelter, food, and more.

Animals can always use a loving new home

Animals always need loving homes and people to take care of them, and the Home for the Holidays campaign focuses on rehoming those animals in need. Pets can often brighten up your days and offer you comfort and joy when you need it most. They often become your best friends and most loyal companions. This season is the best time to check out Home for the Holidays and find yourself a new companion or support the foundation that saves these amazing beings.
