How can COVID-19’s lockdown have a positive impact

COVID-19 can make people realize everything happens for a reason. In my opinion, most people tend to look on the negative side of this pandemic because it’s easier than looking for the positive. The pandemic gave people a chance to work on themselves and spend more time with their families.

Getting COVID twice sucks

I got COVID-19 once in 2020, and again in 2021. The second time it just felt like a regular cold, it was the first time that had an impact on me where I was locked in my room and couldn’t come out. After a couple of days past the time really started to slow down and I was bored out of my mind. I loathed everything about the pandemic, I couldn’t see a bright side to anything. What made it even worse was I couldn’t see friends or go out either, no one could. COVID-19 had a positive and negative impact on my life. It gave me a chance to focus on the important things in my life, but is also brought me down when I was sick. Experiencing the virus really gave me a chance to appreciate the little things in life, treasuring the good times with loved ones and also working to become the best version of myself.

COVID-19 tearing down and building up business

The pandemic took its toll on the world, taking away jobs and destroying businesses, but is that really such a bad thing? Those business needed a challenge to make their market stronger, maybe to build a better business now. Hypothetically, if I became a personal trainer before the pandemic and my business wasn’t taking off, I would have closed it down when the pandemic hit. Then if I started back up again after the pandemic was over my business would likely take off, seeing as after the pandemic most people wanted to get back into shape because the gyms were closed. In my opinion, after I got through being infected by COVID-19, I began to see what the pandemic did for me. For example, I found myself spending more time with my family, talking to them more and listening to how their lives are. Now we are closer than ever because of the pandemic, if it never happened everyone would still be out living their separate lives.

What the pandemic did for me

COVID-19 shook the world to its core, impacting everyone’s lives. We can’t control the pandemic but we can control how we see it. COVID had a positive and negative impact on my life in different ways. It’s easier to see the negative in this situation than the positive. For myself, it took sometime to see what the pandemic gave me, and not just what it took away. I wouldn’t have seen who my real friends are or get to know my family, along with getting to know myself better. The pandemic taught me it’s important to have time for yourself every day and focus on the positive side when everything seems dark.
