A young Alberta woman could become the youngest female firefighter in Canada

Many 19-year-olds are focused on school or their first job. Kate Fraser is preparing for something very different – a career in firefighting.

Women are under significantly underrepresented in fire service compared to other emergency service providers such as paramedics and police officers.

Layla Ruggles talked to one young woman about her dreams of becoming a firefighter.
