Mount Royal University students can bring out their costumes as SAMRU’s fourth annual Haunted House Party returns to Wyckham House on Oct. 29. The free event will feature live music and dancing, with doors opening at 8 p.m.

Hosted by the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University, the celebration runs until 1 a.m. on Oct. 30. The party gives students an on-campus option for celebrating Halloween ahead of Oct. 31.

Costumes and live music at Wyckham House

Halloween costumes are part of the evening, but attendees should consider the event’s restrictions when planning an outfit. SAMRU does not permit replica weapons or masks that obstruct the head.

Alongside costumes, the event listing promises live music and dancing. Students planning to attend can find the location, hours, and admission requirements on SAMRU’s Haunted House Party event page.

Free Admission for ages 18 and older

The Haunted House Party is an event for people aged 18 and older. Attendees must bring one piece of valid government-issued photo identification to enter.

There is no admission charge either for the celebration at Wyckham House. Students heading to campus for the evening should have their identification ready, and ensure that their costumes meet the posted guidelines.

Getting to Wyckham House

Wyckham House Student Centre is located on Mount Royal University’s campus at 4825 Mount Royal Gate S.W. The building connects to West Gate and the main campus, providing a route for students arriving from the inside of the university.

Students unfamiliar with the venue can consult SAMRU’s Wyckham House map before or upon arrival. The map identifies the building’s main-level connection to campus and landmarks such as West Gate Social and the food court.
