Peer Learning Program

By Mustafa Imran Sep 22, 2026 | 12:01 PM

For those struggling to keep up with course work or those looking to help others, the Peer Learning Program is for you. The program is designed to help struggling students by connecting with those who have excelled in the course in the past.

Students can join a learning group—that is led by a student who has excelled in the course in the past, called learning peer. The program is a once-a-week meeting with the learning peer. The meetings are based on what you are covering in class that week. In these meetings you will learn study habits from the leader that will help support your study skills and build confidence throughout the semester and beyond.

If you are interested in being a learning peer for these sessions then, a B+ in the course is required, and be willing to commit 2 hours a week to volunteering. You will gain experience in leadership, develop skills in demand, earn awards and enjoy personal development. You will also have the satisfaction of helping your fellow classmates.

Some of the most in demand courses are, accounting, Biology, Finance and Nursing. If you had a breeze in these subjects in the past, please consider helping fellow students and join today at https://www.mtroyal.ca/AcademicSupport/ResourcesServices/StudentLearningServices/PeerTutoring/index.htm.
