Mount Royal University is proud to announce the grand opening of the Springbank Aviation Campus.

The new aviation facility boasts 3,402 square-metres of space.

MRU is a proud leader in Alberta’s aviation industry, and the introduction of the new campus will set new frontiers for aviation education for decades to come.

What students can come to expect

Students of the aviation program can expect new classrooms, facilities, and new networking opportunities with industry leaders. Hands-on learning will be the forefront of airborne education along with cutting edge virtual reality technology. Two hangars will store the current aircraft, with some room for growth for more plans.

New students can virtually tour the campus before the opening date. MRU offers both a two-year diploma and a four-year bachelor program under its aviation program. Airlines such as WestJet and Canadian North partner with the university in order to help mentor students and build connections during their period of study so they’re ready for the industry once they graduate.

The aviation program will be moved out of the main MRU campus and relocated to the airport on in Rocky View County.
