Intramural opportunities
The MRU Recreation is home for a variety of Intramural Sports. Intramurals offer students the opportunity to be part of a team by playing recreational sports. This league is best suited for students who have played a certain sport throughout high school or participated in a competitive club in the past.
The league operates with five or six player teams depending on the sport. There will be also be a scorekeeper, two intramural officials along with a student leader to act as a referee for each game. The schedule consists of one game per week and includes single elimination playoffs during the last three weeks of the season.
Sports offered as part of the Intramurals Program this year include:
- Basketball: Recreational
- Dodgeball
- Futsal: Recreational
- Futsal: Advanced
- Hockey: Advanced five on five
- Hockey: Recreational three on three
- Volleyball: Advanced
- Volleyball: Recreational
The Fall 2024 registration has closed; however, you can still register to be a substitute on the team! There are currently openings for substitute players in all categories of the intramurals offered at MRU.
If you’re not playing you can still be part of the action. MRU is currently hiring Basketball officials.
