Everyone gets a ONECard
I have found out that the ONEcard from Mount Royal University can be used for many different reasons. There is the typical school uses that come along with your ONEcard, such as a second piece of ID when needed, load it like a credit card to purchase food around campus, and getting a UPass along with the card to use public transit.
Along with all those benefits, I have used my student card to get a student discount. Not a lot of places advertise where a student discount is available, students may have to do their own research to find the shops with the benefits.
At the Apple Store there is usually a back-to-school sale, when I was purchasing my Ipad I was able to show proof of being a student and I received an Apple gift card in return. I also was prompted when I went to the Supplement King near Mount Royal, and I was able to get 15 per cent off my purchase. Some of the discounts are found only in places close to your school and the discounts may vary throughout Alberta.
Student Pricing Card Membership
Student Pricing Card is a membership that you can get which leads you to all the places with student price discounts in Canada. For $11.99 a year, you sign up with your school information and all these discounts in person and online are linked with your SPC card, they also can notify you as to where a discount can be found.
