Equipment room recap

With all the new broadcasting and journalism students here at MRU, a small recap on the equipment room seems appropriate.

located in O-wing room O222, the MRU equipment room features top of the line audio/visual technology. mics, cameras, lights and more can be rented out anytime by students of communications (as long as its not rented out). this allows students of these programs creative freedom to go out and make their projects into reality! Even if you don’t have a project, it can be helpful to rent out gear to get more familiar with it. Typically rentals are limited to a 3 day period, but extensions can be allowed with permission from faculty.

looking for a job that will understand university life? The equipment room hires comm students to manage the room and handle bookings. Keep an eye out at the start of the semester for the applications email, or check the job board to see if any positions have opened up.

When to go?

The equipment room is open Mondays to Friday from 8:30a.m.-12p.m., closes for lunch, and then reopens from 1p.m.-5p.m.. It also opens briefly on Sundays from 1pm-4pm.
