Spotify fans patiently wait for one thing every December: Spotify Wrapped. At the end of the year, the music service gives listeners a chance to look back at their top songs, artists, and genres. This has now become a major online event. It fills up everyone’s social media feeds with their personal listening recaps.
What is Spotify Wrapped?
Spotify Wrapped is a yearly summary that shows what people listened to the most during the year. It highlights favourite artists, most-played songs, and total listening time. The app shows your results with fun, colourful graphics. It also shares global results, showing which artists and songs were streamed the most around the world.
When does it stop tracking?
Wrapped does not count the whole year. Spotify stops tracking your activity in mid-November. So songs on repeat right now may not make it onto this year’s list. The early cut-off gives Spotify time to process the billions of streams before the big release.
When does it come out?
Spotify hasn’t announced the official release date, but Wrapped usually goes live the last week of November or the first week of December. Users can view their results through the Spotify app or on the Spotify Wrapped website.

Predictions for 2025
Taylor Swift is expected to stay as one of the top streamed artists of this year. She has been in the top five for the last five years. However, artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae and Bad Bunny have a good chance of making it. They have released new albums and toured this year. The most-streamed song has a good chance of being Ordinary by Alex Warren. The song has over one billion plays and was the longest running song on the Billboard top 100 so far.
