Daria Limonova (she/her) Daria is a very relatable and laid back DJ. She likes to sit back and read a good book without any homework to stress about. She also likes to de-stress by playing RPGs and listening to European, metal, and rock music. Her passion for European music comes from her Russian roots, which also give her a valuable perspective.
Drew Stonehouse (he/him)Drew is passionate about storytelling, whether that be
through radio shows, books, or movies. He loves music, particularly heavy metal bands.
He plays guitar in his free time which lets him show his creative side.
Elissa Taha (she/her) Elissa loves to watch movies, read books, and act in plays. Her favorite vacation was when she went to Brazil. Her favorite part of the day is when all her homework is done, and she gets to spend time with her family.
Gabriel Fuenmayor (he/him) Gabriel is big into sports and commentary. His social personality can captivate any audience, he’s quite a people person. He’s got ambition, hoping to become a sports commentator one day.
Gabriel Pigeon he/him Gabriel really loves to drink tea while creating funny posts on the internet.
He has always been an audio based person. He can’t wait to show his passion for audio work.
Jenus Antonio (she/her)Jenus might be a shy person but she’s excited for what is ahead, especially in radio. She wants people to notice how truly interesting she is. If she’s not on air, you may catch her skydiving, running a marathon or even hiking.
Josh Hodgson (he/him) Josh is recently finding himself much more understanding and appreciative of the life that he has. He has a passion for creating music, he has played the piano for 15 years because of his grandmother and just picked up the guitar. Josh also met the voice behind the legendary “Mario” at Comic-Con in 2022.
Joshua Young (he/him) Josh brings a passion for photography, videography, and storytelling to the station. Inspired by childhood dreams of sports broadcasting, Joshua likes to mix his creative side with a killer drive. He’s focused, charming and ready to conquer the industry.
Julia Spehar she/her Julia has a passion for all things music. She’s excited to get the chance to display her creativity and charm through broadcasting and storytelling. When Julia’s not on the air, you will probably catch her hanging out with her weiner dog, Hershey, or singing professionally in competitions.
Kaitlyn Gauthier (she/her)Kaitlyn is someone who is very excited about radio. She worked for a radio station back in high school and loves to interview people. She can also speak two languages and play the saxophone.
Lucas Rees (he/him) Lucas is easy to talk to and friendly. He is a huge sports fan whose perfect day would consist of watching different sporting events. Country is his go-to music genre.
Liam Schlabach (he/him) Liam’s interest in broadcasting originates from his love for sports and storytelling. Outside of MRU, you can catch him at the gym, watching football with family, or gambling. Liam is also developing a passion for songwriting and playing guitar.
Maria Baez (she/her) Maria dreams of being the showrunner for a Comedy TV show. She is inspired by her family’s sacrifices, especially them moving to Canada. Maria loves the work of Mindy Kaling and would love to work with her one day.
Natalie Castaneda (she/her) Natalie seems to be eager to enter her DJ career. She is talkative, and has an upbeat personality that is essential to successful DJs. She enjoys Pop, Pop country and RnB. She also loves hockey and would die for the Calgary Flames. She pertains to a large audience with her happy vibe and hopefully the people can hear that. As long as no newer Bruno Mars is playing of course.
Nelson Edwards (he/him) Nelson is excited to embark on this new chapter of his life. He loves media and hopes to become an online creator. One of his greatest accomplishments is having his own YouTube channel and having one of his videos surpass 100,000 views!
