Oliver Johnson (he/him) Oliver says he’s excited to be on air, however he worries about making his show feel authentic. He looks forward to sharing his personality with the audience through his jokes. He grew up with music throughout his life with artists like Timberlake, Nirvana, and Radiohead. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peter Reh (he/him) Peter is experienced with the technical side of media production. Peter already has a background in broadcast media. He is ready to use his technical knowledge to his advantage in learning more about broadcasting!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sam Ward (he/him) Sam is a new and upcoming DJ. He says his friends would describe him as a fun outgoing guy who is chaotic at times. Sam is a big 80s pop and rock fan. He was born in England and moved to Canada in September 2009 he now lives in Okotoks. Sam’s dream holiday destination is Hawaii  as he is a big fan of the beach and great weather.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peyton Zaplachinski (she/her) Peyton is a vibrant person who blends her love of music with breathtaking views. Inspired by sunsets and good vibes. She creates unforgettable beats that make every moment worth living.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saheed Alawiye (he/him)New upcoming DJ Saheed Alawiye breaks the music scene with his upcoming radio shows. He was originally born in Dublin, Ireland and lived there until he moved to Alberta in the summer of 2018. Saheed now resides in Airdrie. In his spare time Saheed plays wheelchair basketball for Team Alberta, and listens to Afro beats and UK Rap as his favorite genres of music.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarahi Barrales (she/her) is a passionate musician and multi-instrumentalist. Sarahi loves to make music reflecting her life. She plays guitar, piano, ukulele, and sings as well. You may even hear this on her radio shows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scott Harrington (he/him) Scott is excited to learn more about video and audio production through the broadcast media studies program. Scott has been interested in YouTube for his whole life, finding inspiration from youtubers such as Chuggaconroy. Scott has worked as an editor for numerous major anime fan-sub releases. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tristan Cyr (he/him) Tristan has always wanted to be a sports commentator, ever since he was a kid. He’s especially adept at tracking hockey stats. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ye-Sung Park he/him Ye-Sung is excited to bring his unique viewpoint to the studio. He can’t wait to have fun on air and hope everyone else will have just as much. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Zach Cathcart (he/him) is ready to be the next best thing in Sports Broadcasting. A lifelong Oilers fan, Zach hopes to be just like his hero Jack Michaels and inspire the next generation of Sport Broadcasters. When Zach’s not on air, you can find him at a hockey game cracking open a cold one with his boys.
