Mount Royal University has a recreational centre that is free for the winter and fall semester. It offers gymnasiums for students for sports and intramurals. The recreational centre also has a fully operational workout facility.

What the MRU Recreational Centre offers

The Mount Royal recreational center is a facility that students can use. When first entering the recreational centre you are greeted with both a rock and bouldering wall. The rock wall offers great fun for yourself and friends as you scale up inside Mount Royal.

The bouldering wall offers a unique challenge that may have you ended up upside down! Instead of heading left towards the rock walls take a right at the entrance and then you have found the Mount Royal Aquatics Center. The Aquatic Center has eight separate swimming lanes and an open dive tank for you and friends to make a splash in! The recreational centre also offers a full equipment filled workout area that allows you to work out in any way or shape you so choose.

The workout area is split into three rooms that have the same and different equipment depending on your workout. The upstairs facility has a track that surrounds the gymnasiums from above providing a unique form of entertainment.

Who can join the recreational centre

Good News! If you are a enrolled student at Mount Royal University during the fall and winter semester the entire recreational centre is free! If you are not a enrolled student or are accessing the recreational centre during Spring or Fall you can buy a day pass or membership. For more details about pricing for the recreational centre check out Mount Royals Memberships and Rates website.
