Every Thursday, Mount Royal University hosts The Drum Circle. The meetings have an amazing atmosphere. You gather around, the drums waiting to be played. The first bit of rhythm starts. Then the group picks up and the momentum increases. Within moments everyone is playing in unison. It’s a great way to experience and to feel the rhythm of drums. Also it is a ton of fun going to these meetings. It is a great way to reduce stress, anxiety and overall tension of university life. It is often used by students and faculty alike.
It’s also a great way to make new friends. Each meeting gives you the opportunity to engage with everyone.
What’s also interesting is that there are no requirements to participate in this event. It’s for everyone to come and be able to have a fun time.
If that wasn’t enough incentive, there are also free snacks to enjoy while your drumming your heart out. The Drum Circle is located at Global Citizen Centre (Z307) in Wyckham from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.
